Almost homeless...

Wednesday: Daddy drove Mom and I down to Phoenix, we went to see my Grandma, then Dad took Mom to see an eye doctor about making her eyes see well again. Mom says she'll go back next week to get it done. Then Auntie Jay called to ask if we had fire insurance on our BusHouse, Dad asked why, and she said there was a fire across the street and they were getting ready to evacuate. When we got back there were firefighters everywhere, but they had managed to get the fire under control, so it was OK, except my blanket smelled like smoke.

Thursday: We're going camping tomorrow, so everyone's been busy getting ready. Our realtor called in the afternoon to tell us our house in Albuquerque has sold. Only took 5 days, Dad says that's not very long time. So tomorrow we're going to the White Mountains to camp, but it's OK because we're taking the BusHouse, so I'll still have my toys and blanket.

On the road

Saturday: We finally left on our trip! Mom and Dad got the house finished last night, and we hit the road this morning. We got to Auntie Jochebed's house this evening, and she threw a nice birthday party for Elizabeth, who turned 9 today. The cake looked yummy.

Sunday: Seems like we had so many people over this afternoon. Uncle Noel and Auntie Shirley were here from South Carolina, Paul and Susie and Reuben and Sharon came over, and we had a great old time playing pool. I turned 4 months today, Mom gave me my first meal! It was rice and water, and it tasted great! Milk is overrated.

Monday: Today we went to Montezuma Castle with Rachel and Eric. It was a big castle built in the side of a hill, but we couldn't go in it because we had 8 kids and it was 104 degrees. So then we went to Sedona, and went to the river, and everyone went in and waded in the river. The best bit was when Mom slipped on a rock and fell in. It was a shame that she was holding the camera at the time, 'cos she says it was probably ruined. It was good that she laughed about it. It was even funnier when she fell in the second time...

Getting closer...

The house seems cleaner, Mom's been putting stuff on the walls a lot, and the carpet was clean until I threw up on it this morning. I think we're getting close to leaving - Dad says maybe the middle of next week. The bushouse is outside, blocking the driveway. Elizabeth moved my toys in there yesterday, so I'm glad Dad got the air conditioner working or I'd be really hot by now. I'm going to ask Dad to get some pictures taken so you all can see how it looks.
